How to Connect Outlook using IMAP




1.   Open the Control Panel from your Start menu
2.   Click the Mail(32-bit) icon

3.   Click on “Show Profiles…”

4.   Click “Add…”

5.   Select E-mail Account, Click Next

6.   Select “Manually configure server settings…”, Click Next

7.   Select “Internet E-mail”, Click Next
          Imap_image6

 

8.   Enter information below including your name and email address
9.   Select “IMAP” in the Account Type menu
10. Enter server settings
          Incoming mail server:              imap.controladmin.net
          Outgoing mail server (SMTP):            smtp.controladmin.net
          Username: your full email address
          Password: ********
11. Click the “More Settings…” button

12. Click on the “Outgoing Server” tab

13. Check the box “My Outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
14. Select “Use same settings as my incoming mail server”
15. Click "OK"

16. Click the “Advanced” tab

17. Enter port information as seen below, Click “OK”

18. Click “Next”

19. Click “Finish”

20. Select “Always use this profile”, Choose your profile from the drop down menu
21. Click “OK”

22. Open Outlook 2010
23. You will see your mailbox in the left pane.
