How to Manually Configure Outlook 2010

These instructions work for Outlook 2003, 2007, and 2010 on Windows XP, Vista, and 7

1.   Make sure Outlook is completely closed
2.   Click the Start Menu and go to the Control Panel. (you might have to change the view)
3.   Open the "Mail (32-bit)" application

4.   Click "Show Profiles…"

5.   Click "Add…"

6.   Type in the user's email address and click "OK"

7.   Choose "Manually configure server settings" then click "Next"

8.   Choose "Microsoft Exchange" then click "Next"

9.   In the "Server:" field  type: ppc1mxcas.ppc.corp
10. Make sure the box for “Use Cached Exchange Mode” is Checked
11. Enter your full email address in the “User Name:” field
12. Click the “More Settings…” button

13. Click on the "Connection" tab

14. Check "Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP"
15. Click "Exchange Proxy Settings…"

16. In the first field type:   webmail.controladmin.net
17. Check all 4 checkboxes
18. In the second field, type:   msstd:*.controladmin.net
19. Change the Proxy Authentication type to "Basic Authentication"
20. Click OK

21. For Outlook 2003 click the “Security” tab
22. Make sure the box for “Encrypt data between Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Exchange” is checked
23. Click OK

24. Click the “Check Name” button

25. A login window will pop up, enter your email address and email password. (If the login window pops up again, log in again the same way)
26. The email address in the User Name field should automatically get underlined; if it did then it was successful
27. Click "Next"
28. Click "Finish"

29. In the "Mail" window, select "Always use this profile"
30. Choose the mail profile you just created from the "Always use this profile" dropdown box

31. Click "OK" on the "Mail" window
32. Open Outlook.
